The WWOOF platform launches today two new features that will make visit coordination much simpler and more effective, for both WWOOFers and Hosts.
Visits Page
There is now a dedicated Visits page, where all confirmed visits appear organised by visit date (rather than by the date of the latest message, as was previously the case in the inbox). This means both Hosts and WWOOFers can see at a glance who is arriving next or what their upcoming stays look like. Each visit now has its own summary page, where members can:
- Message a Host or WWOOFer
- Call a Host or WWOOFer
- Get directions to the location
- Add the visit to their calendar
- Contact the WWOOF organisation for help
Automatic phone number sharing
When a visit is confirmed, phone numbers are now automatically shared within the conversation. This feature reflects what most members were already doing in practice: manually exchanging contacts during visit planning. For those who prefer to keep their number private, automatic sharing can be disabled in the profile privacy settings.
Important note: please make sure your phone number includes the correct international prefix (for example, “+351” for Portugal). Without this, your number may not work correctly for international members.
These features are part of a broader set of improvements being developed on the platform, with the goal of making communication and visit coordination easier for the entire WWOOF community.
