We had a fantastic WWOOF Gathering.
During the morning, we had a little WWOOF Producer market and a Macrame workshop while people were arriving and putting up their tents.
After a delicious lunch, we went a bit more deeply into what is WWOOF and how it is organised from inside, followed by the really interesting workshops: Fanny from Quinta do Penedo spoke about Natural Food and its multiple good consequences, Alex from Monte da Laranjeira Nova demonstrated how to produce Charcoal and why, Sérgio from Monte Mimo introduced the CSA system and his daily but engaged challenges. Then a local oenologist gave an Organic wine tasting workshop and Adriel from Shimejito made us produce Electricity from Mushroom!
We literally had to drag people from the workshop for the food not to get cold!
We obviously finished with a sweet dance floor on the sound of Chalo Correia.
Thank you Humus Farm for this beautiful location and to warmly open your space for us. Thank you to the workshops facilitators. And thank you all for coming!!
We had such a great time. I don’t know you but my batteries are loaded for at least a year!
